Wakame (lat. Undaria pinnatifida) – Highly valued in eastern countries, especially Japan, where it has been used for more than 3,000 years. A source of a wide range of organic minerals and organic compounds.
Wakame contains fucoxanthin, a marine carotenoid, a unique compound rarely found in vegetables, known for its fat-burning properties. Also, fucoxanthin stimulates the liver to produce docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which is important for brain development, thinking, memory, heart function, metabolic processes, lowers dangerous cholesterol in the body, thus reducing high blood pressure and being a component of all cells, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPR) in seaweed nourishes and regenerates all cells in the body and organs.
Wakame especially nourishes the skin, eyes and brain. Smoothes wrinkles in the forehead, nose, lips and tightens the skin by activating 14 genes responsible for the synthesis of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. Naturally maintains hormonal balance thanks to optimal amounts of organic manganese, calcium and iron. Organic compounds B2, B6 and B12 help in the replication and synthesis of DNA, the production of new cells and the maintenance of the nervous and immune systems. Wakame has high amount of sodium, i.e. sea ​​salt. For those with high blood pressure and pregnant and lactating women, it is advisable to use this seaweed only soaked and washed in clean water. It takes 5-10 minutes to soak.
